Privacy Policy

Altitude Zero is a mobile game developed and operated by Dead Pixel Studio (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you install and play Altitude Zero on iPhone or iPad, how we use it, and what choices you have. It applies to the game and to this website (altitudezero.app).

We do not sell your personal information. We collect the minimum amount of data required to make the game work, keep leaderboards fair, and — for players on the free tier — show ads.

Game Center data. If you sign in to Apple's Game Center, we receive your Game Center player alias and a Game Center-managed identifier (a scoped Apple ID that is opaque to us). We use this to submit your scores to Weekly and All-Time leaderboards and to unlock achievements. We never see your Apple ID or your real name. All Game Center data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases (IAP). When you buy coin packs, the Pro (Remove Ads) upgrade, or any other in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple's App Store. We receive a purchase receipt token that confirms the purchase — we never see your card number, billing address, or full Apple ID. Receipts are stored locally on your device (and, when iCloud sync is enabled on your device, may be backed up by Apple to your iCloud).

Advertising identifier (IDFA). Altitude Zero shows advertisements to players on the free tier. If you opt in to app tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, our advertising partners may receive your device's IDFA to serve more relevant ads. If you decline, ads are shown non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking on iOS.

Diagnostic and usage data. We may receive aggregated, non-personally-identifying diagnostic reports (e.g. crash logs, frame-rate data) through Apple's App Analytics — this only happens if you have opted in to “Share with App Developers” in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements. These reports do not identify you personally.

Contact form. If you email us at info@deadpixel-studio.com, we receive whatever information you choose to include — typically your email address and the message you send. We keep those emails only as long as needed to respond and follow up.

To operate the game: submit scores to leaderboards, unlock achievements, deliver in-app purchases you have paid for, and restore prior purchases when you tap “Restore Purchases”.

To show ads on the free tier: our advertising partners use device signals (with your consent, IDFA) to serve ads.

To improve the game: diagnose crashes, tune difficulty, identify bugs. Where we can, we do this using aggregated data that cannot be tied back to you.

To respond to you: if you email support, we use the address you wrote from to reply.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

Altitude Zero offers coin packs, character/ship purchases funded by coins, and a Pro (Remove Ads) upgrade, all as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment method.

Coins are a virtual in-game currency. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts or devices. See the Terms of Use for the full rules.

Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Players on the free tier see advertisements. Advertisements are delivered by third-party ad networks that we integrate into the game. Depending on the ad and your tracking choice, ads may be personalised (based on IDFA and other signals shared with your consent) or non-personalised.

If you upgrade to Pro, all advertisements are removed for the lifetime of that purchase on your Apple ID. You can restore Pro on a new device via “Restore Purchases”.

Apple — App Store, Game Center, StoreKit, App Analytics. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Our advertising partner(s) — deliver ads to free-tier players; may receive your IDFA if you consent to tracking.

Email provider — used only for support correspondence you initiate.

We do not share your personal information with any other third party, and we do not sell it.

Game progress (best score, unlocked ships, coin balance, achievements) is stored locally on your device and — if you have enabled iCloud sync — backed up by Apple to your iCloud account. Deleting the app removes the local copy.

Game Center leaderboard scores are retained by Apple according to Apple's rules.

Support emails are retained only as long as needed to answer them and follow up.

Altitude Zero is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@deadpixel-studio.com and we will delete it.

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

Because Altitude Zero collects very little personal information, most requests can be satisfied by deleting the app (which removes the local data) and by managing Game Center visibility in your iOS settings. For anything else, email us at info@deadpixel-studio.com and we will respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard measures to protect the limited data we handle. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not store any payment information ourselves, and personal data on-device is protected by iOS's own encryption while your device is locked.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and, for material changes, describe the change in a future app update or on this page. Continued use of the game after such a change means you accept the revised policy.
